The activity feed

A workspace-wide stream of what your teammates have been doing, on the Dashboard, updating live.

By Updated

Workspace events: comments, invites, and the other things worth knowing a teammate did. It is workspace-scoped rather than personal, so everyone sees the same stream.

It lives in the Activity column on the Dashboard, server-rendered for the first page then loading more as you scroll, with new events arriving live.

Row-level security enforces the membership check, so the feed can only ever contain events from a workspace you belong to. Admins can tune which event types the feed carries from the workspace settings page.

Worth doing once, the first week a second person joins, when the feed is either the most useful column on the page or the noisiest.

  1. Open the Dashboard and look at the Activity column.

The first page is server-rendered so it is there as the page paints, then more loads as you scroll. New events arrive on their own; there is nothing to refresh.

  2. Decide which event types earn a place.

The feed is shared, not personal, so this is a call about what the team should see rather than what you want to read. Comments and invites usually earn it; every completion in a busy workspace usually does not.

  3. Tune it from the workspace settings page.

Owners and admins get a master switch plus a toggle per event type, and changes save as you make them. Turn the master switch off and the column goes away entirely.
