The task drawer
Open any task to get its description, subtasks, dependencies, tags, assignee, comments and dates in one panel, without losing your place in the list.

Click any task row, anywhere it appears, and the drawer slides in over the current surface. The list stays where it was underneath, which is the point: working down a long list should not cost you your place every time you look at something.
Escape closes it. Edits save as you make them rather than behind a Save button.
Name, description, priority, due date and time, project, phase, tags, assignee, subtasks, dependencies, comments, and a recurrence rule.
Tip
There are deliberately no custom fields. Hierarchy, priority, dates and tags cover the real cases, and every product that added custom fields got worse: the fields become a project of their own, and then nobody fills them in.
It is a proper rich-text field, not a plain note. Headings, lists, checkboxes, links and @mentions all work, and pasted URLs become links without any markup on your part.
If you write the same shape of description repeatedly, drop in a Description Starter instead of retyping it, or have Didi draft one from the task name.

Subtasks, three levels deep
A task can hold subtasks, and those can hold sub-subtasks. Three levels total, and a parent will not close while a child is still open.
Dependencies
Mark a task as blocked by another. Blocked cards carry a padlock in Horizon, and the padlock tells you exactly what is in the way.

Threaded comments on any task, with @mention autocomplete over workspace members and live updates in every open drawer.
