Copy tasks as Markdown

Select any set of tasks, Shift click to take a whole range at once, then hit Copy as Markdown in the bulk action bar. You get a nested list with the hierarchy preserved and the priorities and due dates included.

Subtasks come along whether or not you selected them, so copying a parent copies the whole checklist under it rather than just the line you clicked.

You choose an ordered or unordered list, because it changes how an agent reads the result: numbered steps imply a sequence, bullets do not.

It copies to your clipboard rather than downloading a file, because the next thing you are going to do is paste it. For a real file, use the export instead.

Handing a batch of work to an AI coding tool without retyping it, dropping a status list into a doc or a ticket, or moving a plan into an email. It is on every plan, including Free.

Worth knowing before you paste: for planning work you do not have to leave. Project Blueprint drafts a project inside ToDidIt, and the Description Writers fill in a task or project from what is already there. This is for the jobs another tool is genuinely better at.

Browsers can refuse clipboard access, and when that happens you get told rather than left thinking it worked. It usually means the page is not on a secure connection, or the browser is set to block clipboard writes. Safari is the strictest about this.
