Workspaces
A workspace holds projects, tasks, members and a shared AI budget. It is the unit of collaboration. Billing is not: one subscription covers every workspace you own.

The container everything else lives in. Projects, tasks, members, roles, invites, tags and phases all belong to one, and so does the shared To-Did allowance that funds Didi.
You get one automatically when you sign up, named after you. Most people never need a second, and there is no advantage to making one.
Free includes one. Squad, Business and Lifetime are unlimited, which is what agencies and consultants use to run one workspace per client with no chance of a task landing in the wrong place.
Tip
A second workspace is for people who must not see each other's work. If you only want separation, projects and tags do that inside one workspace and are far less to manage.
No, and this is the part people expect to be worse than it is. Billing is account-level: one plan and one subscription cover every workspace you own, and they all draw on the same monthly To-Did allowance rather than each carrying a bill.
The switcher is at the left of the top bar, and w opens it from anywhere. Whichever workspace is active decides what you see everywhere else in the app.
Reports is the exception. It is account-scoped and can look across all of your workspaces at once, which is the point of it if you are running several.
Rename, create, and reach billing for each one from Settings, Workspaces.

To-Dids: how AI usage is metered
A To-Did is the unit of AI cost. One Blueprint is 25, one Smart Due Date is 1. The meter in the top bar shows where you are.
